2017-2018 Scholarship Programs at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Regio di Torino and Die Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich.
We are pleased to announce our 31st Annual Scholarship Competition giving young American singers the opportunity to work and study at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Regio di Torino, and Die Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, three of Europe's most prestigious opera companies. Up to a total of four scholarships will be awarded for the 2017-18 season. The confirmed date for the auditions is Monday, January 16th 2017 at The Liederkranz Foundation in New York City.
The scholarship is open to US citizens and permanent residents only. The scholarship competition is open to US citizens and permanent residents between the ages of 18 and 30. Selected candidates will be invited to participate in the New York auditions. Transportation to and from New York is at the candidate's own expense.
In order to complete your application, you will need to pay a non-refundable $40 application processing fee. You may do this using PayPal after completing the form. Also, please make sure you provide a copy of your Birth Certificate, Green Card, or US Passport. You will also need to provide a current Resume/CV and a recent photograph.

Mailing Your Application
For your Scholarship Application to be processed it must be accompanied by all of the required documents. The Opera Foundation will be unable to return this material.

Lastly, you must provide the application processing fee of $40 (non-refundable). You may pay by certified bank check or money order payable to The Opera Foundation, Inc.
